Meditation
Benefits of Meditation
Meditation is a state of increased awareness filled with tranquility and positive emotion.
Beginners to meditation may experience a clear mind with little mental chatter as well as a warm, expansive heart.
Many people experience a sense of contentment and clearer outlook on life, both on and off the cushion.
Meditation Practices
Nagaloka teaches two basic forms of meditation at events open to the public:
-
Mindfulness of Breathing - calms both the body and mind: Learn more
-
Metta Bhavana - cultivates loving-kindness for self and all beings: Learn more
Meditation sessions often include a few minutes of chanting: Learn more.
Other forms of meditation and devotional practice are taught in our advanced training programs.
