Please inquire about a custom-designed, introductory-course for …
- an existing group of friends who wish to learn together — perhaps a group of young people, or
- community members who are unable/uncomfortable attending one of our regular drop-in events.
Our drop-in events are designed to be safe and welcoming for all people, but we understand that members of some communities may not feel comfortable attending a drop-in event.
Likewise, our Center is not wheelchair accessible.
Custom-designed courses would be in-person (or online if unable to access our 2nd floor location), and have one, two, or three sessions depending on desired coverage of mediation and other Buddhist topics.
To discuss possibilities, please contact Dridhajyoti (an ordained member of the Triratna Buddhist Community) at dridhajyoti@gmail.com or 207-572-2414
FEES: Our courses are offered on a sliding scale donation basis, and all funds raised support the non-profit Nagaloka Buddhist Center. Our regularly-offered introductory courses suggest a donation of $30-$50/person for a two-session course (when 5-16 people attend). However, we do not want finances to be a barrier for those in disadvantaged communities.
For the time being, this opportunity is intended to serve people in Southern Maine.
