Nagaloka teaches two basic forms of meditation at events open to the public:

  • Mindfulness of Breathing calms both body and mind  (handout)
  • Metta Bhavana cultivates loving kindness for self and all beings  (handout)

Meditation sessions often include a few minutes of chanting (handout)

Other forms of meditation and devotional practice are taught in our advanced training programs.

Benefits of Meditation:

Meditation is a state of increased awareness filled with tranquility and positive emotion.

Beginners to meditation may experience a clear mind with little mental chatter as well as a warm, expansive heart.

Many people experience a sense of contentment and clearer outlook on life, both on-and-off the cushion.
