Explore meditation (in a buddhist context) at the Nagaloka Buddhist Center in a 2-session course. If there is sufficient interest, there will also be a 3rd session looking more deeply at Buddhist beliefs/practices.
Next course: Sundays, May 24 (1-3pm) and May 31 (10:30am-12:30). Please notice the switch in time and occurrence on Memorial Day Weekend.
This introductory-level course is suitable for beginner meditators & those wishing to recharge their practice.
We’ll practice two forms of meditation: Mindfulness of Breathing and Loving-Kindness (metta bhavana). Topics include meditation goals, posture, overcoming common challenges, & creating an effective home practice. You’ll also be briefly introduced to Buddhism and Nagaloka.
Again, an optional 3rd session — if offered — would explore buddhist beliefs and practices in more depth.
Volunteer teacher: Dridhajyoti (ordained in the Triratna Buddhist Community)
