The Monday evening in-person session takes place from 6:30pm – 8:00pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to begin the week with community, peace, and purpose; centered around meditation, the Dharma, and discussion, Monday evenings will be a fantastic chance for new and old friends alike to connect with core facets of Buddhist spiritual practice.
Following the blueprint of Nagaloka’s Sunday morning and Wednesday evening sessions, Monday’s will begin by paying homage to the Three Jewels: the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha—as well as by reciting the Refuges and Precepts.
After a brief offering of literature or poetry, we will transition into a forty-minute guided meditation, oscillating week-by-week between the Mindfulness of Breathing and the Metta Bhavana—the practice of cultivating loving kindness for ourselves and others.
Upon concluding our meditation, we will recite the Transference of Merit and Self-surrender before exiting the shrine room, breaking for refreshments and reflection. All are welcome to stay for community, spiritual friendship, and curious conversation about the meditation, Nagaloka, or the Dharma at large!
An open horizon, Monday’s are more than malleable, with ideas for augmenting these sessions ranging from musical performance, poetry, art, and beyond!
Thank you so much to our incredible community for their continued support, love, and commitment to helping spread the Dharma for the benefit of all beings!
All are welcome!
