Sunday Morning Meditation is in-person at the Nagaloka Buddhist Center from 8:30-10am.
The first hour of our practice is in the shrine room starting with saluting the shrine, followed by reciting the refuges and precepts (handout).
Matt Holden and Tom Handel take turns leading the meditation. After the refuges and precepts, Matt or Tom give a short reading, followed by a 40-minute meditation. We alternate meditations each week between the mindfulness of breathing and the metta bhavana. We end our time in the shrine room by reciting the transference of merit and self-surrender.
The meditation will be followed by a short break for tea, coffee and snack before we regroup in the library for a half an hour of “Dharma talk” and discussion of our experience with the day’s meditation.
All are welcome.
