Nagaloka cares about the consequences of our actions! We are now offsetting the greenhouse gases generated by our operations by buying Certified Carbon Offsets from Cool Effect [www.cooleffect.org].
Cool Effect uses our donation to invest in carbon reduction programs that avoid methane emissions, avoid nature losses, create new renewable energy sources, and the like.
Our favorite programs provide social benefits as well as ecological ones. For example, one program provides cook stoves to people in poor communities who would otherwise cook over an open fire. The amount of wood burned is halved while also reducing toxic smoke inside the household.
