We decided to continue not having in person meditation and study group sessions on Wednesday evening.
Instead we will be meeting online. Join us by clicking on this Zoom link on Wednesday evenings, 6:45-8:00pm . We value Sangha (spiritual community) and feel it is important for us to have the opportunity to be together. We will use this time to meditation along with a short check in to see how we can best support one another. Plus the facilitator will continue on our Dharma theme offering everyone a focus for our practice. We look forward to seeing you and sharing our love and kindness for the wellness of all beings.
Join us to explore….this Wednesday…!
Life with Full Attention
The previous two weeks we have explored Mindfulness and Ethics and Metta and Ethics in preparation for this new session dedicated to identifying and deepening our experience of mindfulness practice that is essential for a full happy life.
Because actions of body, speech and mind have consequences, we will use our everyday experiences to see how important daily moment to moment mindfulness practice can be. By not taking seriously the accumulation of unmindful actions (time taken for locating lost coffee cups!), we forget how much stress we create for ourselves and perhaps others. Allowing ourselves to develop a ‘bad mood’ because we lost something does not help. Reminder: Whatever it is that exposes our lack of mindfulness, has already happened!
These classes will be used to set three mindfulness aims/intentions for the coming week, and review our practices the next week. This simple approach can keep the practices alive and vibrant, knowing that we can report in on our progress, making adjustments when needed. As we take on these practice suggestions with patients and a sense of humor, we see that developing strategies to do the ‘small things’ can help improve peace of mind and inner contentment.
Please join us on a deep dive into daily mindfulness practice and strategies to help improve our inner and outer worlds that impact our happiness and others that we come in contact with. This course is suitable for beginners or experienced meditation practitioners. All are welcome.
