Date(s) - 29/03/2023
6:45 pm - 8:30 pm
Please join us online by Zoom, Wednesday evenings, 6:45-8:30pm. We value Sangha (spiritual community) and the opportunity to be together. We will use this time for lightly guided meditation, a short check in to see how we can support one another, and exploration of a Buddhist topic. The facilitator will offer brief remarks and guide discussion as a way to focus our practice on that week’s theme. Themes may run several weeks, but each week can serve as a stand-alone session. We look forward to seeing you and sharing our love and kindness for the wellness of all beings.
Meditation Practice Evening
“When you see that in your mind there’s no covetousness, there’s nothing that you’re craving for, you don’t feel any ill will towards anyone, you just feel good will, you feel metta, you feel karuna, when you’re not agitated, you’re not in a hurry, you’re not disturbed, you’re not dull and sleepy and you’ve no doubts, on account of that, you feel really happy. You feel in a highly positive mood, and out of this positive mood, out of this gladness, is born joy. Then the body and the whole collection of mental states become calm, and with this calm one feels ease, and because of that ease one’s mind becomes concentrated”
The Purpose and Practice of Buddhist Meditation, 2012
