Please join us online by Zoom, Wednesday evenings, 6:45-8:30pm. We value Sangha (spiritual community) and the opportunity to be together. We will use this time for lightly guided meditation, a short check in to see how we can support one another, and exploration of a Buddhist topic. The facilitator will offer brief remarks and guide discussion as a way to focus our practice on that week’s theme. Themes may run several weeks, but each week can serve as a stand-alone session. We look forward to seeing you and sharing our love and kindness for the wellness of all beings.

10 Ways to a Better Buddhist Life
The Dasadhamma Sutta

Verse 2: My very life is sustained by the gifts of others. This should be reflected upon again and again by one who has gone forth.

This Wednesday we continue in our series on the Dasadhamma Sutta. We will move on to the second verse which invites us to reflect on generosity, gratitude, and the interconnectedness of life.

Can we see how our lives are dependent on the efforts of others and how does this view affect our way of being in the world? How would life be different if we didn’t take things for granted but cultivated gratitude? Do we have a sense of interconnectedness with all life? This is not a sentimental idea or a flimsy “one with all” turn of phrase. Do we experience deeply that our life has an effect on others? Cultivating wisdom, compassion and an ethical life will all help lead us to a clear seeing of our interconnectedness.

Join us this Wednesday for meditation and discussion.

All are welcome!
