Due to the COVID-19 Nagaloka is closed to the public. We decided best not to have any in person meditation or study group sessions on Wednesday evening or Sunday AM.
Instead we will be meeting online. Join us by clicking on this Zoom link on Wednesday evenings, 6:45-8:00pm . We value Sangha (spiritual community) and feel it is important for us to have the opportunity to be together. We will use this time to meditation along with a short check in to see how we can best support one another. Plus the facilitator will continue on our Dharma theme offering everyone a focus for our practice. We look forward to seeing you and sharing our love and kindness for the wellness of all beings.
This week at Nagaloka we will have the opportunity to meet three of the Buddhas disciples who are living together in perfect harmony, “blending like milk and water, viewing each other with kindly eyes”. The Buddha goes to see them for a visit and asks after their well being and finds them living a life steeped in metta, and acting from a cooperation that transcends limited personalities and attachment to individualistic attitudes. They live a life secluded from sense pleasures, meditate, and have attained wisdom through destroying their taints. They find themselves “of one mind” as they practice together on the spiritual path.
What can we learn from these wise disciples that helps us on our spiritual journey? Perhaps how to set aside our own desires and meet the needs of others, or they may motivate us to deepen our meditation practice so we too can free ourselves from our taints and see with wisdom.
Join us this Wednesday to what we can learn from Anuruddha and his spiritual friends.
Join us to explore….this Wednesday…!
