Date(s) - 26/07/2023
6:45 pm - 8:30 pm
Please join us online by Zoom, Wednesday evenings, 6:45-8:30pm. We value Sangha (spiritual community) and the opportunity to be together. We will use this time for lightly guided meditation, a short check in to see how we can support one another, and exploration of a Buddhist topic. The facilitator will offer brief remarks and guide discussion as a way to focus our practice on that week’s theme. Themes may run several weeks, but each week can serve as a stand-alone session. We look forward to seeing you and sharing our love and kindness for the wellness of all beings.

10 Ways to a Better Buddhist Life
The Dasadhamma Sutta
This Wednesday evening at Nagaloka we will continue with the ten reflections of the Dasadhamma Sutta by exploring numbers 8 and 9.
8. The days and nights are relentlessly passing. This should be reflected upon again and again by one who has gone forth.
9. Do I delight in solitude or not? This should be reflected upon again and again by one who has gone forth
These refections shine a bright light on important questions. How am I spending what time I have left ?
Am I ok with being alone? When alone am I creative, relaxed, contented?
When alone am I in need of distractions, people, places and things, to keep from skillfully facing my challenges?
All ten reflections have two levels. One is, these were given to monks and nuns going forth into the Noble Quest. The homeless life. Seeking the ‘crucial situation deliberately.’ The second is how these can apply to our present day experience.
Please join us as we stitch together the logical sequence that these ten Reflections have as well as an in-depth discussions on 8 and 9.
All are welcome!
