Please join us online by Zoom, Wednesday evenings, 6:45-8:30pm. We value Sangha (spiritual community) and the opportunity to be together. We will use this time for lightly guided meditation, a short check in to see how we can support one another, and exploration of a Buddhist topic. The facilitator will offer brief remarks and guide discussion as a way to focus our practice on that week’s theme. Themes may run several weeks, but each week can serve as a stand-alone session. We look forward to seeing you and sharing our love and kindness for the wellness of all beings.

All are welcome!

This Wednesday eve, we will look back over the series just finished on Buddhist ethics based on the book ‘Not About Being Good.’ To help prompt clarity to arise, we will have a brief panel discussion/comments with Khemavassika, Subhramani, and Narottama who will share their impressions of the past study.

We invite all who attend to bring their impressions, questions and comments as we dive deeper into ethics; attempting to become a fully aware human being.

What struck you about the past series on ethics?
Are there any questions you would like to explore more deeply?
What happens when we attempt to imagine other people as non different from ourselves?
Do we share the same values, hopes, dreams ?
As we continue to become more sensitive in our practice of ethics, based on the principle of non harm, what are some of our own stumbling blocks that hold us back?
Perhaps lack of patience arises when we do not accept reality of a situation, bringing with it a cascade of unskillful speech and action, creating more suffering…
What ‘tools’, or practices in our Dharma tool kit do we use to move towards liberation from suffering?

Please join us as we close this chapter on practicing ethical training precepts in our many worlds.
