6:45 pm - 8:00 pm
We decided to continue not having in person meditation and study group sessions on Wednesday evening.
Instead we will be meeting online. Join us by clicking on this Zoom link on Wednesday evenings, 6:45-8:00pm . We value Sangha (spiritual community) and feel it is important for us to have the opportunity to be together. We will use this time to meditation along with a short check in to see how we can best support one another. Plus the facilitator will continue on our Dharma theme offering everyone a focus for our practice. We look forward to seeing you and sharing our love and kindness for the wellness of all beings.
Join us to explore….this Wednesday…!
All are welcome!
The Wheel of Life
We will continue this Wednesday in our series on the Wheel of Life. Moving from the hub of greed, hatred and delusion, we now face beings in the second circle moving up and moving down within the wheel. In the light sections, we see beings looking happy and moving towards the higher realms in the top half of the wheel. In the dark section, we see beings with expressions of fear and suffering, sometimes bound together, being pulled into the lower realms on the bottom half of the wheel.
The beings moving upward symbolize positive actions that generally are based in awareness, clarity and compassion and have a positive benefit for oneself and others. In the dark half of the circle, the beings moving downward in pain and suffering symbolize negative actions based in aggression, ignoring or grasping. These negative actions result in harm to oneself and other beings.
Again, the Wheel of Life invites us to look into it like a mirror. Are we able to see in our own life how our actions of body, speech and mind have beneficial or harmful effects on ourselves and others? Do we feel the pull into darkness or the rising into lightness? How does this second circle help show us the way to escape the wheel altogether?
Please join us this Wednesday as we continue our exploration of this ancient symbol that still glows like a beacon of light in a sometimes dark world.
