Still the Mind
Most of us are plagued with busy minds, and often our sitting practice is filled with racing thoughts. Tonight, in the first of a series of three classes exploring meditation, Bodhipaksa will share some simple and effective techniques he’s discovered that can quickly bring us calmness and a respite from endless thinking.

Bringing our Meditation to Life
We spend so much time in our minds that we often neglect to pay attention to the body. And when we do practice mindfulness of the body, what we find may be dull or even painful. And yet, if we can break out of habitual ways of experiencing the body and approach it with beginner’s mind, it’s possible for our physical experience to be rich, vibrant, energetic, and intimate. Bodhipaksa will show us how!

Letting Go Into Joy
Meditation can be a struggle, but it can also be joyful. Joy, in fact, arises naturally when we’ve calmed the mind and connected intimately with the body. Tonight Bodhipaksa will lead us through a series of guided meditations designed to help us feel at peace with ourselves, open our hearts, and let our joy flow freely.

Bodhipaksa is a Buddhist teacher and author, who has been a member of the Triratna Buddhist Order for 22 years. He leads events internationally, and is the founder of Wildmind (www.wildmind.org), an online meditation center.
