Beginner’s Mind – An Open Meditation
—————————————
Hosted by Friends of Nagaloka Buddhist Center
6:30pm Tuesday Evenings (Doors Open at 6pm)
MASKS REQUIRED

On the night of this year’s Winter Solstice, we welcome people of all backgrounds and experience levels to join us for an open sitting. This will be the first session in a new series of weekly meditations.
There are no religious requirements or expectations.
We ask kindly that those who attend are respectful toward our neighbors in and around the building, the space inside the center, and toward others who attend.
To ensure the safety and comfort of all attending, we ask that people are free from the influence of substances during their visit

Location:
Nagaloka Buddhist Center
1 Forest Ave
Portland, ME 04101

————————
Doors will be open by 6 o’clock to allow attendees to enter and settle comfortably into their sitting space. Seating/Support (chairs, cushions, benches, bolsters, etc) will be provided.

Meditation begins promptly at 6:30pm with a ringing of the bell. After 40 min of quiet sitting, a second bell signaling the conclusion of the session will ring. We ask that folks refrain from entering the space once the session has begun. If leaving early is necessary, please do so quietly to avoid disturbing others.

Following the sitting, folks are welcome to stay and enjoy tea and snacks, and share in group reflection in our library space.

~ May we all walk in wonder, and live with kindness in our hearts
