Mitra ceremony and celebrate our friend, Maitrimani

Wednesday, Sept 10th is an evening celebrating new Mitras and Maitrimani.

Matt, Beth, Susie and Shane will make their mitra declaration during a special ceremony led by Dharmasuri.

Meditation starts at 7 pm followed by mitra ceremony and celebrating Maitrimani.

Mitra means friend. By becoming a mitra, one is making a commitment to follow the Buddhist’s path … which is made up of leading an ethical life, maintaining a regular meditation practice and studying and practicing Buddhism with other members of the mitra community and the worldwide Triratna Buddhist Community.

A new direction has opened up in Maitrimani’s life path. She moves back to the UK. As she moves on, we share her joy by responding with our heartfelt wish for her happiness. We celebrate her lovely presence and her friendship she has openly given everyone at Nagaloka for the last 10 years. We do this by wishing her well and happiness.

A special meeting with the mitras starts at 5:30.

Please join us this Wednesday for an evening of joyful celebration and cake!
